Psalms 25:15

In this verse David says, “My eyes are ever on the Lord”.  Do you remember the story of King Jehoshaphat from 2 Chronicles 20? In verse 12 we read the portion of Jehoshaphat’s prayer that says, “We do not know what to do, but our eyes are upon you.” (2Chron 20:12) If you’re at all like me, you’ve got the “I don’t know what to do” part down pat. Oh, that we could say with David, “My eyes are ever on the Lord”.
There is confidence, though, in knowing that in God is the forgiveness, redemption, grace and fullness of joy that Davis knows so well. He also, in verse 21, prays for integrity and uprightness, the goal of a life lived as a reflection of He who is the ultimate good and the model of unmarred perfection. It’s David’s response to forgiveness.
