everything that you have has been given to you by God so Pastor is asking us to give God's money to the church
#2 - Pastor is not really asking to give God's money to the church; hes asking us to invest in the kingdom of God
#3 - We don't really own anything but are stewards of the things God has given us and must care for these things for God has entrusted us with these things to further advance his kingdom.

Giving tithe isn't a financial issue but rather a trust problem with God and failing to believe that He can provide for you. God will bless those who give with more than they give for taking a step of faith.
