Never give in

Not every difficulty is spiritual warfare, but it does seam that way when so many things add up at the same time.

The enemy of our soul still seeks to kill, steal and destroy.

Churchill spoke at a school during the time of German bombings in World War II and said, “Never give in.”

What can we learn from people who do not give up in the battle?

Not everybody endures to the end. Those attending church are more likely to keep going.

For instance, the Tippie’s meet on Sunday nights each month.

Justin Evans, is a student at MSU, is not hear usually, but he still called requesting to be part of the prayer chain.

There is strength in numbers.

People with a devotional life have their strength renewed.

Read the bible and you can trust in the truth written therein.

If we do not trust his word, we will not trust God either.

Remember what God has done in the past and you will be confident in the future.

Great is Thy faithfulness, Lord.

The story of Noah is one of faith and of never giving up.

There was no flood rain in his life. People will mock you for decades.

What would give Noah enough confidence to follow that course and endure the criticism?

What would motivate him to carry on every morning?

Just like him, we are called to give our lives in service to the Lord.

Gen. 6:9 tells us, Noah was a righteous man, blameless and he walked faithfully with God.

Long before the calling to build the ark, Noah had settled his mind on trusting the faithfulness of God.

He already relied on the promises of God. He already decided to serve the cause of Christ.

Gen. 6:22, Get 7:5 — Noah did all that the Lord commanded. The decision was just a succession of many similar decisions.

Noah was convinced that his God is trustworthy.

To live is Christ, to die is gain.

Submit to God. Resist the Devil, and he will flee.

We surrender all to the cause of Christ, and we ask for your blessing.

Even still we stand on the promise of your word no matter what we see in your circumstances.

What is your level of engagement with Jesus Christ throughout the week.

What is your level of engagement with Jesus Christ throughout the week?

Maybe He is your hope in the morning and your forgiver at night.

Maybe He is the silent listener to every prayer.

Maybe He is a friend that sticks closer than a brother.

Maybe He is your everything.

Never forget about the importance of His presence in your life.

1On the twenty-first of the seventh month, the word of the LORD came by Haggai the prophet saying, 2“Speak now to Zerubbabel the son of Shealtiel, governor of Judah, and to Joshua the son of Jehozadak, the high priest, and to the remnant of the people saying, 3‘Who is left among you who saw this temple in its former glory? And how do you see it now? Does it not seem to you like nothing in comparison? 4‘But now take courage, Zerubbabel,’ declares the LORD, ‘take courage also, Joshua son of Jehozadak, the high priest, and all you people of the land take courage,’ declares the LORD, ‘and work; for I am with you,’ declares the LORD of hosts. 5‘As for the promise which I made you when you came out of Egypt, My Spirit is abiding in your midst; do not fear!’ — Haggai 2:1-5

“Behold, I am with you and will keep you wherever you go, and will bring you back to this land; for I will not leave you until I have done what I have promised you.”— Gen 28:15

I will be with your — Exodus 3:12

Joshua 1:5

Heb 12:5

Jeremiah 1:15

Acts 18:9

Matt. 28:20

Be engaged with Jesus every moment of every day, for there are forces of darkness waged against you.

If God is for us, who can

The personal presence of the Lord gives courage, determination and conviction that His cause will not fail.

You are an ambassador of the King and His presence goes with you.

When Moses was on Mt. Horeb receiving the 10 commandments, the people were impatient, so they made a golden calf from the jewelry they had. The public has a short memory, we need to be reminders.

Then the LORD spoke to Moses, "Depart, go up from here, you and the people whom you have brought up from the land of Egypt, to the land of which I swore to Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, saying, 'To your descendants I will give it.' "I will send an angel before you and I will drive out the Canaanite, the Amorite, the Hittite, the Perizzite, the Hivite and the Jebusite. "Go up to a land flowing with milk and honey; for I will not go up in your midst, because you are an obstinate people, and I might destroy you on the way."… — Exodus 33: 1-3

Has our Christian society become so dependent on Christian music that we can not experience the Lord without music?

Open your heart and ask God to be with you every day, to be your everything. Like Isaiah, we are people of unclean lips. Like Paul we are chief sinners. Without Jesus, we are nothing. Continuously submit to his will and His Spirit.

Unless the Lord build a house, they labor in vain that build it.

I, John, your brother and companion in the suffering and kingdom and patient endurance that are ours in Jesus, was on the island of Patmos because of the word of God and the testimony of Jesus. On the Lord’s Day I was in the Spirit, and I heard behind me a loud voice like a trumpet,11which said: “Write on a scroll what you see and send it to the seven churches: to Ephesus, Smyrna, Pergamum, Thyatira, Sardis, Philadelphia and Laodicea.”I turned around to see the voice that was speaking to me. And when I turned I saw seven golden lampstands, and among the lampstands was someone like a son of man,d dressed in a robe reaching down to his feet and with a golden sash around his chest. The hair on his head was white like wool, as white as snow, and his eyes were like blazing fire. His feet were like bronze glowing in a furnace, and his voice was like the sound of rushing waters. In his right hand he held seven stars, and coming out of his mouth was a sharp, double-edged sword. His face was like the sun shining in all its brilliance. When I saw him, I fell at his feet as though dead. Then he placed his right hand on me and said: “Do not be afraid. I am the First and the Last. I am the Living One; I was dead, and now look, I am alive for ever and ever! And I hold the keys of death and Hades. — Revelation 1:9-18

You do not need to be locked up on the island of Patmos to be present with the Lord.

We serve a God who has a presence, and that presence is what makes a difference. You could tell someone about Labron James without every communicating that you know Labron James.

Will you hear the Lord say to you, "Well done good and faithful servant", or "Depart from me for I never knew you."

Jeff and April Brown

Guest speakers Jeff and April Brown.

Jeff: We all have a story, not just here, not just in Badaxe where we are from. Everywhere there is a story that is still being written.
Married to April for 25 years. Jeff still working as an engineer.
God wants to do even more with you.
Who has heard of Moldova? Back when April was in school, Moldova was still part of the Soviet Union. In 1991 it became an independent country. The country is independent for 22 years, but the mindset is still the same, and 80% of the people live below the poverty level. The capital is Kishnow has 600,000 people. The country is half the size of lower Michigan. Moldova has a large social orphan population, because of
The country is a source for human trafficking. Semi tractor with 24 in back, (8 dead) and people were trying to get out.
17,000 per year lost from Moldova.
Back in 2004 we lived in Pennsylvania, and moved to Michigan. We were going to church some times in Penn. On first day of work Jan 1. 2005 in Michigan, so guy invited to church and started to attend.
When you have a calling in life, you will hear from God in ways that you don’t understand. Soon Jeff was a leading a bible study.

April: We moved to Michigan for Jeff’s job. God had other plans. Youth director left the small church and she was asked to fill the role. God equips the called.
Crying on the couch, had the sense that God needed her to trust him. At a youth group trip, was baptized in a sense and realized there is so much more in God. Jeff was having weird dreams like he was preaching. It was happening similarly for Jill

Jeff: God was waking me up every night around 2 am. So Jeff figured he should eliminate pizza and change his sleep habits. He said to God, what do you want me to do, and the answer was, I want you on my team. He wants to do something not just in you, but for others too.
Pastor recommended the Berean online school, but it was not fitting into the schedule. Did only three classes in a year.
Pastor mentioned Michigan School of Ministry in Grass Lake so we looked into that.

April: We both took classes. Jeff thought he was going to be an engineer his whole life. How did we get to Moldova? Credentialing with Assembly of God comes with interviews and they ask, what do you feel like God is calling you to. They were passionate about outreach to their community, but did not have a sense of the long term vision. So, they prayed. In 2015, at general council in Florida, we knew God had the plan, and we met the Longues.

Jeff: On a Tuesday with church planting on the schedule, the Lord made some free time for coffee. The coffee was in the world missions display, and that section is huge, and we met John and Adrian Longue. They plant churches in Moldova. We felt like this is what God had planned. Planting hope, healing and freedom. They figured that simply, they will make friends. Taking out the garbage, past the wild dogs, I met a group of people at the dumpster waiting for the new arrivals.
The Moldova country is mostly roman orthodox catholic, but the mindset is still communist oppression. People are looking for someone to give them direction.

April: There is always some else on the other side of your obedience. We go to help share the hope and freedom with the young people in Moldova. As Jeff Lavin says, we are better together. Together we will reach those who are on the other side of our obedience.

John 19:16-
Jesus sentenced to be crucified
1 Cor. 11:26-30
Paul teaches:
For as often as you eat this bread and drink the cup, you proclaim the Lord's death until he comes.
Whoever, therefore, eats the bread or drinks the cup of the Lord in an unworthy manner will be guilty concerning the body and blood of the Lord. Let a person examine himself, then, and so eat of the bread and drink of the cup. For anyone who eats and drinks without discerning the body eats and drinks judgment on himself.

The blood of Jesus flowed from the scars men put on the body of Jesus. Those six man made items can be seen in heaven when we get there.

As a man thinks, so is he… there is a battle over your mind.
He will keep you in perfect peace whose mind is stayed on Him.
Be transformed by the renewing of your mind.
Have the mind of Christ.
Submit to God, resist the devil and he will flee.
Think on these things: Whatever is lovely…

The mountain of your troubles will glorify God when it is moved.
By his stripes, we are healed.
James: The prayer of faith will heal the sick.
God is the same yesterday, today and forever.
He took the stripes so that we may be healed.

Col. 3:23-24
Work as unto the Lord, rather than for men. It is the Lord Jesus Christ whom you serve.

We recognize or Father in Heaven as our Provider.
We ask for favor with bosses, clients and coworkers.
May our work be productive and be a blessing.

Psalm 139 Where can you go that God is not already there?

Jesus proclaimed, Father forgive them for they know not what they do.
